How Property Managers are Using the Console App

November 7, 2018

The Console App

In April this year, we released our first app. Built to integrate with Console Cloud, the app schedules and records inspections from your smartphone. The app then talks to Console Cloud, and uploads that information live to your records. That's the beauty of cloud-based Property Management software: instant information transfers.

Besides transferring that data to the office in real time, the Console App also signals the end of double-handling. No more waiting to get back to the office or remembering things required.

How property managers use the Console App with Console Cloud

Let's talk about how property managers are finding the app. What we've heard is that for users, the experience is easy and seamless. We've heard that it's difficult to imagine returning to the bad old days. You know, the bad old days of—gasp—paper.

That's fabulous news, of course, but it's not the only thing putting a smile on our faces. Why? Because now, you can also schedule and conduct entry and exit inspections in the app.

The September snapshot

In September, we took a snapshot of how people are using the Console App. Here are the results.

What our developers are working on next

We have some exciting tools in development to help take the mental load off. A big problem for property managers around Australia is the sheer number of things that need doing. Previously, property managers used checklists, spread sheets, and a tonne of other systems to keep track of where they're all at. But there has to be a better way, right?

Workflows

There is, and it's called workflows. Soon, you'll be able to use the Console App to complete more of these workflows, such as for tenant on-boarding and vacating processes. If you don't know how they work, Console Cloud radically reduces the admin and mental load of complex processes by bringing all the steps in a process together in a simple, actionable timeline. And if you want to know more, Check out our Console Cloud Spring Release.

Workflows will significantly reduce the amount of admin used to manage a property. That makes it easier to manage more of them. And that in turn helps answer the perennial question, 'How many properties can a property manager manage?'

As many as you want.

Where to now?
